zeroG_727_n794aj_fll_dec09b.jpgThe interior of Zero G 727 is mostly made up of leather padding. Synthetic padding is not used as per FAA in case of onboard fire. Zero G is a neat 727 that takes you up to 32,000 feet and then does dives and climbs which simulates weightlesness. NASA sends their people on flights and I'm told that civilians can also go, the cost is $3,000 per person (not sure how long the flight is)

Some may see this and be shocked that this goes on but rest assured, this is completely normal and both aircraft are TCAS equipped (Terminal Collision Avoidance System). TCAS is a screen in the cockpit that shows other airplanes that are within the subject aircraft's airspace. The TCAS picks up other airplanes via their transponder which every airliner has on board. In addition to TCAS, ATC is also monitoring traffic, which is especially heavy over central Europe

qatar_A330-200_FRA_0909b.jpgQatar A330-200 inbound from Doha late in evening holds short of rwy 7L for departing traffic. Note the faint looking LH747 that just departed seconds ago (just above the Qatar titles on the fuselage). I know that my AFM (Airport Friends Munich) buddies especially like this registration

bentleyhamann.jpgOne neat thing about having your own web site is that you can upload whatever you'd like that you think will appeal to your audience, including photos of cars that I see at airports around the world. This Stunning Bentley Hamann is strapped down to a pallet to be shipped to Hong Kong for a buyer willing to pay above $200,000 for the car. Hamann is a German perforance package add-on for high-end cars. If it was my car, I would have chosen black on black..

vgair330OO-SFQ802.jpgView in the cockpit of A330-200 at Flight level 410 (41,000 feet), having recently departed JFK's runway 13R, routing JFK-BRU. Leaving the USA in the evening and watching the sun set behind you is easy on the eyes, however, when the sun comes up again somewhere over the Atlantic it starts to get pretty uncomfortable in the cockpit, sun visors are a must.

ltu_A320_D-ALTB_CFU_08_02B.jpgYou can rent our rooms in the pink house under the A320. My hotel is above the A320. It's a 45 minute walk to the spot i'm standing at to shoot this photo (it is a big field adjacent to the water and there are plenty of snakes!)
