IFLGROUP_CONVAIR440_N171FL_MIA_0510_JP_small.jpgN171FL had an unfortunate accident in Guatemala City (May 2012), which will probably forever ground this great old airplane. I believe the crew was not injured as the nose gear collapsed and the left propeller penetrated the fuselage
IFLCONVAIR_BWCOLOR_MIA0410.jpg
IFLCONVAIR_BWCOLOR_MIA0410.jpgI made a significant change to this photo; I left the airplanes in color but changed everything else in the photo to black and white. I chose to do this because here is a propeller airplane from the 1940's, and behind it is an ultra-modern propeller driven airplane from the 90's, so the contrast in airplanes begs for contrast with the airplanes and their environment in this photo. I know that some of you will really love this!
